What our clients say about us

Julie did a fantastic piece of work to support the University of Reading’s Internationalisation Plan. It assessed brand positioning, the role of rankings, competitor activity and strategy, and gave clear recommendations as to the kinds of areas that we needed to think about. Those recommendations are now in place, such was the gravitas of her report and her writing style.

Julie manages to convey all of her years of experience, along with really detailed research, in such a way that you feel you are being guided along by an expert friend rather than ‘instructed’ by a consultant. Her institutional experience is critical in internal credibility, but even without that, just a few minutes into meeting her would demonstrate that she is the kind of consultant you wish you could have on your team all day, every day.

She is professional, insightful and does what she says she will do. More importantly to me, she is approachable, intelligent and really makes me laugh.

I have commissioned TSR Insight for a number of projects and have always been impressed by their in-depth understanding of the HE environment and its markets. Julie and her team demonstrate a professional and insightful approach, which delivers usable and practical outcomes, both on time and in budget.  I wouldn’t hesitate in choosing them again.

Lancaster University has worked with TSR Insight several times over the last few years, they have become almost an extension of our research team, providing great research support, as well as being fun to work with.

From the first project, Julie has demonstrated an excellent understanding of the sector, and quickly adapted the approach to suit the nuances of our institution. The collaborative approach TSR Insight takes to understanding our needs, developing an approach, and even the analysis and reporting, ensures that the final output always delivers exactly what we are looking for.

I am always confident that the work will be of high quality and well received by internal clients, whether it is sound desk research, analysis of complex data sets or working with primary data. This all makes it really easy to go back to TSR Insight for different projects, and the relationship we have built them over time, only serves to enhance this.

Revolution Viewing worked with TSR Insight on the second phase of our annual primary research programme with prospective students. Julie Vincent took time to understand our brand as well as our overall company strategy before providing a research proposal that met our needs perfectly, and added scale and rigour beyond our expectations.

Julie worked as an extension of our team and consistently went the extra mile to provide additional depth to the desk research, and a very innovative methodology for the fieldwork that enabled us to get a great blend of qualitative and quantitative insight. Not only did the research help us to better understand the needs of our audiences, and to help sharpen our solutions, but it has also provided content for conference presentations, opened doors to new client relationships and re-ignited existing relationships, giving us a great return on investment. Even more than a year after the fieldwork was completed the research is still valuable and ground-breaking within the sector and we are also using it across our social media channels to give weekly hints and tips to our client base.

I would recommend Julie most highly – she provided excellent value for money, she worked hard to understand our company and she was a pleasure to work with.

Commercial Director, Revolution Viewing

Julie was a committed and inspirational chair of the Advisory Board of Sheffield Music Education Hub. Her calm and focussed chairing supported the board through significant changes, which included re-shaping the look and purpose of the Board and leading on the recruitment of a new Head of Music Education for Sheffield.

Her insightful, professional expertise developed the communication strategy for the Hub which resulted in the launch of a new website and communications vision. She contributed significantly to the specification for, and recruitment of, consultants to lead a feasibility study to look at the future governance of the Hub.

An extremely professional, personable, intelligent and supportive chair – I would recommend her without question.
